Sal's Pizza held a Customer Appreciation Day. They
celebrated 25 years in Sayville and they
wanted to thank Sayville for its patronage.
The quaint family owned pizzeria and
catering restaurant was sectioned for an
open buffet with different items from their
menu for sampling. The pizza was practically
given away for $5.00 per regular cheese pie
and 0.99 regular slice. They
also offered raffles, gift certificates, give aways (about 4
baskets full of stuff) and tasting of their
wine. The newly introduced wine menu was a
selection of affordable wines from Italy and
California. Carefully chosen to be served
with their food and for casual dining were
Cabernet Savignon, Merlot, Chardonnay from
California and Chianti and Pinot Grigio from
Italy. The
friendly staff at Sal's Pizza greeted every
customer with informative flyers about their
upcoming events, lunch combos, free samples
and renovations. Novelty plastic pizza
cutters, cheese toped pencils, drinking cups
and smiles were handed out freely and abundantly. Vito
Giambanco "who came over from Sicily 25
years ago, in 1980, and took over the
business" said Lori Giambanco, one of
the owners at Sal's Pizza, "made it what it
