The Sayville Chamber of Commerce sponsored the Annual Fall Festival on Main Street and South Main Street on October 7th. This year the food vendors were a welcomed addition to the live music, petting zoo, ponies, art show, autumn flower and pumpkins arrangements along side Main Street. South Main Street had the Fear Factory haunted house, games, Carrousel, haunted purple Bouncer and plenty of families enjoying the Carnival atmosphere.

Francine's Bridal Connection, Irish Crossroads, Mystic Dreams and Carpet Yard along the South Main Street had their merchandise featured outside and encouraged fair enthusiasts to visit their stores for more shopping.

On Main Street Stop & Shop, Bayport Flower House and The Flower & Garden Shoppe of Sayville decorated Downtown Sayville with pumpkins, mums, haystacks and scarecrows.

The Mothers' Center of South Shore handed out black and orange balloons to match the festival's theme and spread the word about their center. The Mothers’ Center of the South Shore, is a non-profit, non-sectarian, volunteer organization, and is member supported. Donations from individuals and businesses are always greatly appreciated, and help families toward a better future. It was founded in 1977 by a group of concerned women, who felt the need to share their feelings and experiences of motherhood.

PAWS sold Raffle tickets in an effort to raise money for their non-profit organization which rescues stray cats and kittens, nurses them back to health, and spays or neuters them.

Sayville Fitness, a new business in town located behind Prince of Peace, gave a spinning class demonstration and answered fitness questions for all interested in finding out more about free classes for Brest Cancer patients, Boot camp classes for kids, yoga, Pilates, Tai-chi Chaun and cardio kick boxing.

Miles to Daytona entertained fair goers with their music in front of Washington Mutual Bank and children fed lamas, sheep, goats and other farm critters.

As any other events happening in Sayville, the Fall Festival this year was a successful gathering of families and friends and another reminder of the wonderful hamlet we live in.
