The Sayville Historical Society held an Afternoon on the Edwards Farm on June 5, 2006 at the Edwards Homestead.

Visitors enjoyed listening to the Homegrown String Band, petted farm animals provided by the Suffolk County Farm, quilted, made ice cream and had Pony rides.

Other stations provided activities like: the Benner's Farm Textile tent, a herb garden, antique tools table, a quilting bee, seed planting and a grinding stone.

Refreshments, raffles and membership information were available and books, maps, and postcards were for sale. Inside the Red barn the new Farm Life Exhibit was on display.

The Sayville Historical Society is located on the corner of Collins Avenue and Edwards Street, one block south of the Sayville Library. If you have any questions about the event or the Sayville Historical Society call: 563-0186.
