Sayville residents woke up early Wednesday morning to view the devastation brought about by one of the strongest thunderstorms to hit Sayville this year.

The powerful storm left behind plenty of fallen leaves, broken branches, trees and downed power lines which left many roads impassable.

It has been a while since Sayville was hit with a strong storm and many of the old trees were ready to go.

The police, fire department and tree removal crews were out early to clear the roads.
