The Greater Sayville
Chamber of Commerce sponsored the BelAirs Concert on Main
Street with Still Cruisin' Classic Cars on July 21, 2006.
The rain in the
afternoon did not stop Sayville resident and visitors from
coming to listen to the BelAirs and gaze at the classic cars
exhibited on Main Street.
This season's
weather spoiled many events for the past couple of weeks.
Some were postponed indefinitely, like the Wednesday in
the Park Series while some were pushed into the fall in
the hope that the weather will cooperate.
Despite the
pouring rain that threatened the evening, the BelAir went on
with a tardy concert entertaining everybody who showed up
and delighting children eager to dance in the "rain."
