St. Lawrence Church located on Main Street in Sayville held a Family Festival August 16th through the 20th to benefit the St Lawrence Religious Education.

The event was held at Prince of Peace's parking lot adjacent to the church and it had rides, food, games and raffles.

Newton Shows provided the rides and they included: Super Shot, Super Slide, Super Round-up, Expo Wheel, Pharon's Fury, Fire Engines and Dizzy Dragons. Some kiddy-rides kept the children going in a perpetual cycle from being on the rides to going back for more at the end of the line, while Super Shot gave some courageous participants the thrill of free fall.

The food vendors offered the usual Smorgasbord of cuisines which included: sausage and peppers, steak mozzarella, calzone, zeppole, funnel cakes, popcorn, snow cones and cotton candy to satisfy the hungry fair goers.
