Craft vendors, scarecrows, pumpkins, and apple pie will delight visitors when the Town of Islip’s annual Apple Festival is held Saturday, October 13, 2007, at the Islip Grange on Broadway Avenue and Montauk Highway in Sayville, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The rain date is Sunday, October 14.

Admission to this popular event is free, as is entry into the scarecrow contest and apple goods culinary contest.

Scarecrows and apple goods are not the only attractions, however.

More than 280 craft vendors from several states will be on hand displaying and selling woodcraft, floral craft, needlework and culinary items, as well as holiday crafts.

Entertainment, including the ever popular band 'SouthBound', demonstrations, contests, pony rides and children’s games, will take place throughout the day, and the picnic area will be open to all.

For further information about the Apple Festival, please call 224-5430.
