A group of 14 West Sayville Christian School students and graduates dedicated their recent school vacation time to come alongside Urban Impact, a New York City Mission that works with immigrant Muslims and Sikhs. The students learned about the Muslim religion and culture every morning. Then they went from Park Slope, Brooklyn to Crown Heights to help spruce up the West African Friendship Center and to help young Africans learn to read and write English. Each student grew in their understanding of their own faith and how to communicate that faith with friends from other cultures. The students returned to school having grown in maturity, confidence and faith.
